Some greens are simply stored via the winter in ready storage, in a cellar, or in a basement. Okra, for example, have to be harvested each two or three days or some pods will develop too massive and turn into tough and unusable, a situation which will alter future production. Harvest on the proper stage of maturity, not before or after; most crops could be harvested several instances if only the prepared half is harvested. In the house backyard, regular inspection and good horticultural practices may minimize down on the need for chemical controls of those pests. Check the whole plant, together with the underside of the leaves, for evidence of pests. Contact your county Extension agent should you suspect an outbreak and for particular and up-to-date information about garden insect management. Indeterminate sorts continue to develop as long as circumstances are favorable.
